Emma Claire running down the hallway says "Mommy, Re-re sleeping under there" (not sure how long he had been there, but he didn't move for a LONG time after discovered) - how about that for patience. Maybe he was just trying to hide from the toddler, so long as his nose was exposed.

Emma Claire then turns to Sophie's bed: "Sophie, all doggies go night night now".

Can't imagine Emma Claire without her pooches. "I love you Re-re", she tells him often.

Sophie' favorite place to cuddle up is with one of Emma Claire's dolls or blankets.

Happy Birthday Baby

Looks like August 2 is the "scheduled" date for Baby B's arrival...IF he doesn't decide to come sooner. C-section scheduled for 7:30 am that day. Surgery was not in my master plan, but in light of everything else (medications, etc), it just makes the most sense for us. Feels funny to know when to expect him.

NOW, if we only had a name - any suggestions???

Emma Claire's New Swingset

Sunday was a big day for Emma Claire. We bought our next door neighbor's "big" play set and it made the move to our yard, with the help of the ever resourceful Kadue men (Uncle Paul, Papa Rick, Adrian and Brad).

The process went surprisingly smoothly and Emma Claire had a new playset by the end of the afternoon. To celebrate, the rest of the Kadue clan came over for pizza on the deck. It was a beautiful evening and Emma Claire thoroughly enjoyed playing in the yard (and in the neighbors) with her cousins.

Emma Claire and "Quinnie" had some excitement when Rudy left the yard and we couldn't find him. They helped by calling out for him. He had run away to Peggy's RV.

We are excited about the start of what is going to be a fun, exciting (and busy) summer.

Como Zoo

Our first trip to the zoo this year. The weather was spectacular. Emma Claire asked and asked to see the (real) giraffes and was then afraid of them when she finally got up close and personal. She loved the monkeys and the lion.

The kiddie rides were a hit. She was tall enough to go on a couple of the smaller ones. Brad and I were shocked when she agreed to ride the car ride (twice)by herself (no adults allowed).
