Arnold Reading
Arnold is loving books lately, any time of the day. His favorite is "My First 100 Words" that Rowie gave to Emma Claire when she was about his age. It has gotten so much love that it has fallen apart into multiple volumes. I found Arnold in his room this weekend reading his favorite book in his favorite chair. He has many of the words down. He especially likes the trucks page, the food page and the animal page.

A Happy Weekend
I couldn't ask for a better "Mommy weekend" with Emma Claire and Arnold while Brad was on vacation. The weather was like Summer and both kids were happy as could be. We didn't do anything spectacular - just stayed at home and played, and played and played outside. It's the simple days that are the best.
Birthday cake for Mommy at Grandma Marjorie's
Happy St. Patty's Day!
Fireman Arnold
Big Boy Swing
Watching a movie and "pop pop popcorn"
Sharing clothes bin
After church - "cheese"!

March Madness, Baby!
Some of my favorite Ole Miss cheerleading memories were made in the month of March.
It was March 2001, Sweet 16, San Antonio. We lost to Arizona. It was my last game as an Ole Miss cheerleader. Recognize the girl at the ~1:04 mark?

Emma Claire:
- "I want..."
- "I super want..."
- "I super-duper want..."
- "I super-duper-califragilisticexpialidocious want..."

Princess Party
Emma Claire's "friend" party was at Brookview Community Center this year. The theme was, naturally... Princesses.

This was the first year we have extended the party to more than a few friends. Emma Claire invited all of her classmates in the Dinosaur room, in addition to friends and family. The kids were invited to wear their favorite costume (princess attire not required). There were lots of princesses, pirates, a Buzz Lightyear, a fireman, a superhero, a duck and a skunk (Arnold). The party was complete with Mrs. Annette, who provided entertainment. She did magic, stories, and balloon animals. The kids loved the show and watched intently. There were crowns to decorate and a princess cake and ice cream to eat.

There was LOTS of activity. 25 kids and plenty of space to run, jump, giggle and play.
A special thank you to Whitney for taking photos of the action...
